The assessment of both task 1 and 2 is done on four parameters which are listed below:

  • Task achievement: It includes the completion of technical aspects like the word limit and a relevant structure (Introduction, Body paragraphs and the Conclusion).
  • Cohesion and coherence: It includes the logical presentation and organization of ideas.
  • Lexical resources: The more advanced the vocabulary, the more bands you get.
  • Grammatical range and accuracy: This is concerned with grammar and the sentence structure. It is advised to use a wide range of sentence structure from simple to complex and from active to passive to ensure good bands.
